What SpicyChat does well, and where it stops

SpicyChat deserves credit for transparency. Its subscribe page lists exactly what each tier gets: Get a Taste at $5.95 a month with 4K context and no ads, True Supporter at $19.95 with 8K context, Semantic Memory 2.0 and in-chat images, and I'm All In at $29.95 with 32K context, its strongest models, and text-to-speech. Very few competitors publish context sizes at all.

That transparency also shows the main trade-off. Memory scales with price, and the jump from 4K to 32K context is an 8x difference in how much of the conversation the model can see at once. On the lower tiers, a long scene will lose early details. That is not a flaw unique to SpicyChat; it is just more visible there because they tell you.

The other limit is visual. In-chat images arrive on True Supporter, but the product is organised around text characters. There is no studio for building a specific shot, no identity lock to keep a character's face stable across a gallery, and no video.

1. nsfw.fun: best if you want to see the character

nsfw.fun starts from the opposite end to SpicyChat. The character's appearance is fixed first, anchored to a reference image, and everything else — chat, photos, video, stories — is built around that one identity. A new outfit or location changes the scene, not the face.

You can also plug in your own API key for another model. That can mean better writing, but you set it up yourself and pay that provider directly.

It is text only. If SpicyChat's in-chat images were the thing you valued, Janitor AI is a step back there.

3. Kindroid: best for voice and a long-term companion

Kindroid is 18+ and permits explicit content, but it is designed around one ongoing companion rather than a library of scenarios. Backstory, persistent memory features, voice calls, and selfies all serve the sense that this character knows you.
